My Thread Crochet Doilies for Summer

Although I do not have as much spare time now as I do in winter I was able to finish two summer doilies.
The first one I call "Blue Doily for Summer". It is a floral center in light blue with cream and country blue border. The colors I used to make this doily were inspired by hydrangeas from my garden.

The second doily is called "Daisy in the Sun". It has a white daisy in the center surrounded by light blue and yellow loops.

More Summer Themes in Thread Crochet creations you can find on the Thread Artists Team's blog at: http://etsythreadartists.blogspot.com

I am the winner!!!

I like to enter giveaways (who doesn't?).
Not only to win the prize but to see new shops, visit new blogs; simply to get acquainted with other sellers.
Recently I've won not one but two prizes! I've just received them.

First one was given away by Elizabeth Ann White - a professional crochet designer. The prize consists of The Spring Crochet Basket full of crochet thread, Ann's own book with wonderful crochet patterns and even a crochet hook ! These prizes have a special value for me - they come directly from the author. It doesn't happen to often!
You can find Mrs. White at her Etsy shop BellaCrochet and her blog bellacrochet.blogspot.com .

The second one was a photograph of a winner's choice given away by Emily from Etsy shop salchichatu.
I chose this one.
It was taken in January and Emily named it "Why are you blooming"...
She loves all visual art media, and hopes to have a good sampling of everything in her shop eventually, from photography to paintings.
You can find Emily on Twitter:

Variations on Christmas Tapestry Doily

One may wonder why I mention Christmas in time of Spring and Easter. Well, Christmas Tapestry Doily is the original pattern designed in green, red and white colors. I have always been wanting to make it in different colors combination.
First time I've had a chance to do so for Thread Artists Team Color Artistic Challenge. I used navy blue, chambray and bridal blue colors. These are my favorite colors. The photo shows my Blue Tapestry Doily.

The next time has come when one of my customers required to have this pattern done in red, orange and golden yellow colors combination. And this is the result - Fiery Tapestry Doily.

I like to play with colors in my crochet projects. I'll be posting about it when I have them ready.
